Hand Vein Treatment
Hand vein sclerotherapy offers a quick and simple way toward more beautiful and youthful hands. Hand veins are normal veins and are not considered varicose. Like leg veins, hand veins return blood back to the heart for re-oxygenation. Because of their shallow depth and the thin skin on the back of the hand, some veins may have an enlarged or bulging appearance. Once treated, the deeper veins, which are not injected, take over in returning blood back to the heart from the upper extremity.
Dr.Altuwaijri treats hand veins in the office with foam sclerotherapy injections in a relaxing environment. The treatment session does not require anesthesia and is very easily tolerated. A compression glove or wrap is used after treatment and a rapid return to regular activities is the norm. In rare instances, mild swelling of the hands may occur which typically lasts a few days.
